Schooling from South Point High School, graduation from Shri Shikshayatan College and M.E and Ph.D in Engineering (Information Technology) from Jadavpur University.
As the celebration of women’s day continues, I believe that, the creator of the Universe has already bestowed woman with powerful capabilities and qualities so that she can rise beyond any challenges and obscurities in her pathway of life. Women see opportunities in everything and everyone and they are the natural givers. The quality of natural leadership makes them great multitaskers. They love to serve and to be served by others with passion and enthusiasm. Being in teaching profession for the last 12 years, I feel that women are already empowered in their own way be it in the rural sector or in urban community. With the progression of the society, women are quite aware about their rights, dignities and authorities. Educating woman is the first move towards empowerment where she can take decision independently, work freely and breathe freely. We could see now that women are leaving behind a substantial contribution in various professions, be it in education, sports, culture, household activities etc.
Being a woman I strongly believe and follow that it is ‘you’ who have to conquer any sort of challenges that might come in your path of rise. Do not feel suppressed by the judgment that makes you lesser. External support and education are necessary but innate thirst and stimulus for self-identity and dignity must be nurtured consistently so that she can put forward a substantial milestone to achieve. To be truly empowered, an educated lady must extend her support to awaken the spirit and power of a woman who is devoid of knowledge and senses of recognition that will eventually uplift the mankind and welfare the society.
